Kadyos is perhaps one of the most popular part of traditional Ilonggo recipes. In Aleosan, Kadyos (pigeon peas) are grown in almost every backyard of the Ilonggo farmers.
During market day here (Sundays and Wednesdays), Kadyos is available for P25 per cup. Kadyos is usually cooked with pork and langka (jackfruit). This cuisine is popularly known as Kadyos Baboy Langka or KBL.
The other recipe with Kadyos is known as Kadyos Manok Ubad (banana stalk). It tastes good with native chicken.
In the province of North Cotabato, Aleosan is perhaps has the most farmers who are growing Kadyos.
